In the cities, the consequence of this model is still more visible. With the intensification of the process of urbanization, suffered for some Brazilian cities from the second half of century XX, one has noticed an aggravation of the urban partner-ambient problems and a disruption of the ambient quality in these areas, mainly in what it more says respect to the quarters moved away from the parts central offices where is located a desassistida population of the attendance the certain considered necessities basic as health, education, sanitation and habitation. To understand the urban processes in the society contemporary one becomes landscape, place and territory differentiation, but, in all they, problems with the ones of the job, the habitation, the transports, the leisure, the water, the sewers, the education and health are generic and disclose enormous lacks. (SAINTS, 2005, p.105). This work considers an analysis on the existing social problems in cities of small transport, and its thematic relation with the ambient one, in a society each globalizada time more and presents the general objective to analyze the urban geographic space of the small cities, in view of the ambient problems, taking as case study the quarter Green Weeds in the city of Stream of Santana, located in the sub-region of the San Francisco Medium in the Bahia. For in such a way, one searched to understand the ambient problems as reflected of the problematic socioeconmica; to identify, through the historical process of occupation of the city and the quarter, as the social inaqualities had been developed; to understand, from the economic historical process of the city, as the urban expansion of this was given city and to understand the consequences of the use forms and occupation of the ground, adopted there on the urban environment, without losing of sight the partner-economic processes in course in Brazil and the world. One gives credit that the social inaqualities narrowly keep on relations with the ambient problems. .
